APPLE CINNAMON BREAD
 
Ingredients
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar (not packed)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅔ cup white sugar
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1¾ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 apple, peeled and chopped
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease and flour a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl and set aside. Beat white sugar and butter together in a bowl using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time, until incorporated; add vanilla extract.
  3. Combine flour and baking powder together in another bowl; stir into creamed butter mixture.
  4. Mix milk into batter until smooth. Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  5. Next add half the apples and half the brown sugar cinnamon mixture. Lightly pat apple mixture into batter.
  6. Pour the remaining batter over apple layer; top with remaining apples and add more brown sugar/cinnamon mixture.
  7. Lightly pat apples into batter; swirl brown sugar mixture through apples using a finger or spoon.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean, 30 to 40 minutes.

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp. Baking powder
  • 1 ½ Cups Flour
  • 1 ½ Tbsp. Sugar
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • 3 Cups Cheddar Cheese (grated)
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • ¼ Cup Butter, melted
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 375. Lightly grease 12 muffin tins.
  2. Mix dry ingredients together well, add cheese and stir again. Set Aside.
  3. In another bowl whisk egg, milk and butter (make sure butter not too hot).
  4. Using a spoon mix egg mixture with dry ingredients – mix well as it will be thick.
  5. Completely fill 12 muffin tins with mixture.
  6. Bake 20 – 25 minutes or until a nice golden color.

  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups grated zucchini
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
  1. Grease and flour two 8 x 4 inch pans.
  2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  3. Sift flour, salt, baking powder, soda, and cinnamon together in a bowl.
  4. Beat eggs, oil, vanilla, and sugar together in a large bowl. Add sifted ingredients to the creamed mixture, and beat well.
  5. Stir in zucchini and nuts until well combined. Pour batter into prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 40 to 60 minutes, or until tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool in pan on rack for 20 minutes. Remove bread from pan, and completely cool.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup whole wheat pastry flour ( My friend used spelt flour)
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar or ¾ cup raw sugar (best to use unrefined sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 medium bananas, mashed (very ripe)
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened crunchy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • (add ¼ c. dark chocolate chips - optional)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. gas mark 4
  2. Coat standard loaf pan with cooking spray.
  3. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in large bowl.
  4. Whisk together mashed bananas, peanut butter, yoghurt, egg, and oil.
  5. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture until combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips. (optional)
  7. Scrape batter into loaf pan.
  8. Bake 40-50 minutes
  9. Cool in pan on rack 15 minutes.
  10. Unmold then cool completely before slicing.

Ingredients
  • 3 eggs
  • 1½ cups brown sugar
  • ¾ cup melted butter
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1½ cups mashed banana
  • 1 Tbsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2¾ cup flour
  • 20 tsp Nutella
Instructions
  1. Mix sugar and butter. Add eggs, banana, sour cream, vanilla.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt. Add to wet ingredients.
  3. Do not over mix after adding flour.
  4. Pour 2 inches of batter into 2 well greased loaf pans. drop 5 tsp nutella on batter in each pan, top with remaining batter and drop another 5 tsp nutella on each cake. swirl with knife.
  5. Do not overly mix.
  6. bake at 350°for 40min. or until toothpick comes out clean.

  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer (my friend uses club soda)
  • 3 cups self-rising flour
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, mix together the sugar and flour.
  2. Add beer and continue to mix, first using a wooden spoon, then your hands. Batter will be sticky.
  3. Pour into a 9 x 5 inch greased loaf pan.

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400F. Place baking cups into muffin pan and spray with cooking spray.
  2. Mix muffin mix, egg, and milk in a large bowl. Batter will be slightly lumpy. Set aside.

Ingredients
  • 2 C. Flour
  • 1 C. Shredded Cheese (any kind)
  • 1 tsp. Sugar
  • ½ tsp. Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp. Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ½ Tsp. Coarsely Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 C. Buttermilk
  • ½ C. Butter, melted
  • 2 Eggs
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350, grease bottom only of a loaf pan.
  2. Combine Flour, Cheese, Sugar, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Salt and Pepper in a large bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, melted butter and buttermilk together.
  4. Add to flour mixture and mix just enough to incorporate dry with the wet.
  5. Pour into a prepared 9 x 5 loaf pan. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool 15 minutes before removing.
  7. Store in refrigerator, that is if there is any left!

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder(I prefer garlic galore)
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup buttermilk, cold
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
  • For the Topping:
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted, divided
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh parsley (or ¼ teaspoon dried)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 475 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a non-stick baking mat; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt, garlic powder and cayenne. Stir in the cheddar cheese; set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, stir together the buttermilk and melted butter until the butter forms small clumps.
  4. Add the buttermilk mixture to the flour mixture and mix gently with a rubber spatula just until a dough forms and no dry ingredients remain. Use a greased ¼-cup measuring cup to scoop out portions of dough. Place on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little more than an inch between biscuits.
  5. Bake until the biscuits are golden brown, about 12 minutes. While the biscuits are in the oven, stir together the 2 tablespoons melted butter, garlic powder and parsley. Remove the biscuits from the oven and immediately brush with the topping mixture. Allow to cool for at least 5 minutes before serving.
  6. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container or zip-top back at room temperature for up to 3 days.

  • 4 cans(7.5 oz each) refrigerated biscuits

  1. Grease or spray bundt pan.

  3. Cut each biscuit into quarters.

  • ½ cup milk

  • 3 cups (15 oz) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl stir the yeast into the warm water and let it sit until dissolved.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, oil, sugar, and salt. Add this to the yeast mixture and stir until combined. Add all the flour and stir until it forms a shaggy dough. Knead at low speed, or by hand against the counter, for 10 minutes.
  3. Let the dough rise in a warm spot until doubled in bulk, about an hour.
  4. Dust your work surface and turn out the risen dough on top. Divide the dough into 8 pieces and shape each into a tight ball. Transfer the balls to a baking sheet and let rise until they look puffy and hamburger-sized, roughly 30-40 minutes.
  5. Pre-heat the oven to 375°F.
  6. Melt the butter and brush it over the risen hamburger buns. This helps the tops to brown and keeps the crust soft. Bake the buns until golden, 15-18 minutes.

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries or 2 cups frozen cranberries, chopped
  • 1⅔ cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup coarsely chopped walnuts or ½ cup coarsely chopped pecans
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ⅔ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons grated lemons or 2 teaspoons grated orange rind
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 350º.
  2. Grease bottoms only of 2 loaf pans, 8½ × 4½ × 2½ inches or 9 × 5 × 3 inches.
  3. Mix cranberries, sugar, oil, milk, lemon peel, vanilla and eggs in large bowl.
  4. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  5. Pour into pans.
  6. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  7. Cool 10 minutes.
  8. Loosen sides of loaves from pans; remove from pans.
  9. Cool completely on wire rack before slicing.
  10. Store tightly wrapped in refrigerator up to 1 week

Ingredients
  • 1 cup whole grain wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup quick oats
  • ½ cup craisins
  • 2 Tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 1 Tbsp margarine, melted
  • ½ cup fat free egg substitute or 2 eggs
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Coat an 8 inch square baking pan with cooking spray.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, oats, craisins and sunflower seeds.
  4. Whisk together margarine and egg. Mix together wet and dry ingredients. Spoon into prepared pan and smooth top.
  5. Bake about 20 minutes.
