These bug-eyed beings are easy to make in large batches for a Halloween gathering or classroom party.
Yogurt Covered Pretzels
Different Colored Melting Chocolate
Little Candies for the Eyes
Put colored melting chocolates into their own zip loc baggies (or icing bags). Place baggies upright into a bath of hot water until all of the chocolate has melted. Place all of the pretzels on wax paper lined cookie sheets. Snip a tiny corner off of one of the baggies of chocolate. Fill in the eyes of the pretzel ghosts – only fill 5 or so at a time so the chocolate doesn’t set up before you’ve been able to place the eyes. Repeat with the other chocolate colors.

Individual Fall Scents

The first thing you should do if you want to start using fall scents is to figure out which
essential oils are going to achieve this. You have two main options: go with individual
scents or choose a blend. Manny of the popular essential oil companies mix blends for
you, where they will smell like a forest, fall air, cinnamon, or pumpkin spice. However, if
you don’t want to go this direction, you can instead use those individual scents. Here
are some that are perfect for fall:

Sweet orange
Tea Tree

Fall Essential Oil Blends

Another thing you might want to do is use a blend. You can mix up your own blend
depending on how you want the certain essential oil product to smell, or get a pre-made
blend. This is a great time to start experimenting with different combinations until you
figure out what works best. When making your own blends, the stronger scents like fir
and eucalyptus should be used less, and the milder scents like orange and vanilla can
be used more.

Here are some different scent combinations to achieve the essential oil blends you

Pumpkin Spice – For a pumpkin spice blend, try combing clove oil with nutmeg and
cinnamon. This is a very basic blend of scents that tend to smell just like pumpkin spice.

Fall Air – For a blend that smells like those warm fall evening walks outdoors, try fir or
eucalyptus with sweet orange and your choice of spices, like either nutmeg or clove.

Autumn Spice – Another spice combination is more heavily spiced with cinnamon, plus
some sweetness added to the mix. This autumn spice can have cinnamon oil, along
with clove, vanilla, and sweet orange or lemon.

Play around with the different essential oils until you come up with blends you love for
the fall season. Use them with all your DIY products or just add the blend to a diffuser
so that it smells just like fall in your home every day.

Unusual tips and tricks for this ordinary household item that you can use to clean things around the house and make other things shine!

Removes Scuff Marks
Can you believe that just a dab of toothpaste can remove scuff marks from your favorite pair of leather shoes? It’s simply amazing! Just dab a little on the scuff marks, rub the area with a soft cloth, and then wipe clean with a damp cloth. You will make them look like new!

Cleans Piano Keys
Are the keys on your old piano looking yellow and dingy? Make them look brighter by cleaning them up with some toothpaste on a soft toothbrush, then after a little scrubbing, wipe them down with a damp cloth. This only makes perfect sense, since the little ivories are essentially elephants teeth. This trick also works well on modern pianos even though their keys are covered with plastic rather than the real stuff!

Cleans tennis shoes…the rubber part
Try a little of the non-gel variety on one of your old toothbrushes to clean and whiten the rubber sides of your tennis shoes! After scrubbing them, take a damp cloth to clean it off and they’ll look almost new!

Clean “Gunk” Off Your Iron
Non-gel toothpastes contain a mild abrasive, which is just what you need to scrub the “gunk” off the plate of your iron. Apply it to your iron while its cool and scrub with a rag, then rinse well.

Make Your Diamond Ring Shine
Next time your brushing your teeth, take your toothbrush and run it over your diamond ring to make it sparkle! Clean off any residue with a damp cloth.

Clean Your Watch Band
A little toothpaste on an old toothbrush will allow you to scrub all of the dirt away from your watch band. Rinse carefully so the watch don’t get water in it. Polish with a soft cloth.

Baby Bottle Deodorizer
Are your baby’s bottles starting to smell like sour milk? Toothpaste works well to remove this odor! Just put a little bit on the bottle brush and start scrubbing. Be sure to rinse the bottle out well.

Goggles Defogger
Wearing fogged-up goggles is not only frustrating but can be dangerous as well. To prevent this, coat the goggles with toothpaste and wipe off.

Mirror Defogger
Ouch! No wonder you cut yourself shaving…a fogged-up bathroom mirror certainly prevents you from seeing your face clearly. Next time (before you shave and cut yourself) spread a little non-gel toothpaste onto the mirror and wipe it off before stepping into the shower. When you’re done with your shower and ready to shave, the mirror won’t be fogged up!

Shines Chrome
You can find many commercial cleaners containing a very fine abrasive that are designed to make your chrome shine, but if you don’t happen to have one of these cleaners handy, try a little non-gel toothpaste instead (which also contains a mild abrasive) It will work just as good. Smear it on and polish the chrome piece with a soft, dry cloth.

Cleans Your Bathroom Sink, Destroys Odors From Drain
Non-gel toothpastes work just as good as any other bathroom cleaner when it comes to cleaning out your sink. How handy can you get, it’s sitting right there at your fingertips so why not use it? OR…if your family is like mine, they drop gobs of it in the sink while brushing their teeth so just take a sponge or cloth and make good use of their waste! Rinse it out and see it shine! An additional bonus even! This will also destroy any odors coming from down inside the drain.

Cleans Crayon Marks Off Walls
Did those crayon-toting angels of yours get creative and draw some fancy artwork on your wall? Don’t worry. Just grab a tube, a rag or scrub brush, and dab a little on the wall and start scrubbing. The fine abrasive in the toothpaste will take away the crayon marks every time. Rinse the wall with water.

Hang Posters on the wall Just put a little dab in each corner of the poster and a few in between on the edges. Put your poster up and it will stick like magic. When you get ready to remove it will come off easy with no holes.

Fill in holes in the wall
Ugly nail holes showing? Just a little white toothpaste will fill in the hole instantly. Let it dry and you can paint over it.

Get All The Toothpaste That You Paid For
When the tube is almost empty place in warm water for a few minutes while you shower. Lay it on the counter or on the edge of the sink, using your toothbrush handle push the warm toothpaste to the top of the tube.

Air Freshener For Your Car
Squeeze a small amount of toothpaste onto a the center of a paper towel. Roll or fold the towel up. Place under the seat. When the car is left in the warm sunshine it will heat up and the toothpaste will release a nice soft mint smell into your car. Replace as needed.

Make your own toothpaste for making your teeth whiter
This is so easy and will save you money. Mix Baking Soda and Hydrogen Peroxide blend into a paste. Add a few drops of peppermint or spearmint extract to flavor to your desired taste. It will make your teeth sparkle and will help whiting them at the same time.

Now that you’ve probably gone through a couple of tubes like us, we’ll see you in the toothpaste aisle!

Make These Natural Bug Repellents

When you spend more time outdoors in the summer, one of the main drawbacks is the
insects. They can crawl on you, bite, and sting, so you might want to avoid them with
actually harming them. This is where the following natural bug repellent remedies come

Ultimate DIY Bug Spray

The first type of natural bug repellent you can make is one that is something you put
together on your own. The reason this is the ultimate DIY spray is because you get to
choose the recipe you want. It is going to use essential oils for repelling different types
of bugs during the summer, particularly when enjoying outdoor activities, but you can
pick and choose which ones. Here is a list of essential oils that will work great:

There are also others to use. Some oils work better for certain types of bugs, while
others are there to help it smell a little better. All you need to do is add about the same
amount of drops for each oil you use, combine it with some water and a little rubbing
alcohol, and add it all to a spray bottle.

Citronella Oil Bug Repellent

Next on the list is probably not a big surprise, which is making a bug spray using
citronella. Many people use citronella candles on their patio or deck because flying bugs
like mosquitoes and flies don’t like the smell. You can use citronella essential oil to
make your own bug spray and repellent. Add about 30 drops of this essential oil to a
spray bottle with water, and you’re good to go. You can also make your own citronella
candles if you prefer to go that route.

Dried Herbs Bug Repellent

Lastly, consider using dried herbs when making your bug spray repellent. You can also
use fresh herbs if you are growing them in your garden. You are going to combine
certain herbs that the insects don’t like, plus some vinegar or witch hazel added to the
spray. Herbs like lemongrass, citronella, peppermint, and other types of mint will work
great. You want to boil water with the herbs, then strain it into a water bottle with
distilled water and rubbing alcohol. Use this spray around your house, patio, or
anywhere that you find bugs are hiding.

These natural repellent sprays won’t harm the insects, but they will keep them away
from you and your home or campsite.

What is Cloud Dough?
Cloud dough (also known as moon dough or moon sand) is silky and moldable and takes just two ingredients to make.

You can enjoy some of these great recipes in moderation without feeling guilty with this AMAZING product!! Money back guarantee!!

Who Knew???

1. Take your bananas apart when you get home from the store. If you leave them connected at the stem, they ripen faster.

2. Store your opened chunks of cheese in aluminum foil. It will stay fresh much longer and not mold!

3. Peppers with 3 bumps on the bottom are sweeter and better for eating. Peppers with 4 bumps on the bottom are firmer and better for cooking.

4. Add a teaspoon of water when frying ground beef. It will help pull the grease away from the meat while cooking.

5. To really make scrambled eggs or omelets rich add a couple of spoonfuls of sour cream, cream cheese, or heavy cream in and then beat them up.

6. For a cool brownie treat, make brownies as directed. Melt Andes mints in double broiler and pour over warm brownies. Let set for a wonderful minty frosting.

7. Add garlic immediately to a recipe if you want a light taste of garlic and at the end of the recipe if your want a stronger taste of garlic.

8. Leftover snickers bars from Halloween make a delicious dessert. Simply chop them up with the food chopper. Peel, core and slice a few apples. Place them in a baking dish and sprinkle the chopped candy bars over the apples. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes!!! Serve alone or with vanilla ice cream. Yummm!

9. Reheat Pizza
Heat up leftover pizza in a nonstick skillet on top of the stove, set heat to med-low and heat till warm. This keeps the crust crispy. No soggy micro pizza. I saw this on the cooking channel and it really works.

10. Easy Deviled Eggs
Put cooked egg yolks in a zip lock bag. Seal, mash till they are all broken up. Add remainder of ingredients, reseal, keep mashing it up mixing thoroughly, cut the tip of the baggy, squeeze mixture into egg. Just throw bag away when done easy clean up.

11. Expanding Frosting
When you buy a container of cake frosting from the store, whip it with your mixer for a few minutes. You can double it in size. You get to frost more cake/cupcakes with the same amount. You also eat less sugar and calories per serving.

12. Reheating refrigerated bread
To warm biscuits, pancakes, or muffins that were refrigerated, place them in a microwave with a cup of water. The increased moisture will keep the food moist and help it reheat faster.

13. Newspaper weeds away
Start putting in your plants, work the nutrients in your soil. Wet newspapers, put layers around the plants overlapping as you go. Cover with mulch and forget about weeds. Weeds will get through some gardening plastic they will not get through wet newspapers.

14. Broken Glass
Use a wet cotton ball or Q-tip to pick up the small shards of glass you can’t see easily.

15. No More Mosquitoes
Place a dryer sheet in your pocket. It will keep the mosquitoes away.

16. Squirrel Away!
To keep squirrels from eating your plants, sprinkle your plants with cayenne pepper. The cayenne pepper doesn’t hurt the plant and the squirrels won’t come near it.

17. Flexible vacuum
To get something out of a heat register or under the fridge add an empty paper towel roll or empty gift wrap roll to your vacuum. It can be bent or flattened to get in narrow openings.

18. Reducing Static Cling
Pin a small safety pin to the seam of your slip and you will not have a clingy skirt or dress. Same thing works with slacks that cling when wearing panty hose. Place pin in seam of slacks and … guess what! … static is gone.

19. Measuring Cups
Before you pour sticky substances into a measuring cup, fill with hot water. Dump out the hot water, but don’t dry cup. Next, add your ingredient, such as peanut butter, and watch how easily it comes right out. (Or spray the measuring cup or spoon with Pam before using)

20. Foggy Windshield?
Hate foggy windshields? Buy a chalkboard eraser and keep it in the glove box of your car When the windows fog, rub with the eraser! Works better than a cloth!

21. Re-opening envelopes
If you seal an envelope and then realize you forgot to include something inside, just place your sealed envelope in the freezer for an hour or two. Viola! It unseals easily.

22. Conditioner
Use your hair conditioner to shave your legs. It’s cheaper than shaving cream and leaves your legs really smooth. It’s also a great way to use up the conditioner you bought but didn’t like when you tried it in your hair.

23. Goodbye Fruit Flies
To get rid of pesky fruit flies, take a small glass, fill it 1/2′ with Apple Cider Vinegar and 2 drops of dish washing liquid; mix well. You will find those flies drawn to the cup and gone forever!

24. Get Rid of Ants
Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, take it ‘home,’ can’t digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so, especially if it rains, but it works and you don’t have the worry about pets or small children being harmed!

25. Dryer Filter
Even if you are very diligent about cleaning the lint filter in your dryer it still may be causing you a problem. If you use dryer sheets a waxy build up could be accumulating on the filter causing your dryer to over heat. The solution to this is to clean your filter with with a toothbrush and hot soapy water every 6 months.

Homemade Dishwasher Tabs

Are you like me and HATE spending so much money on these dishwasher tabs? Well here is an easy recipe to make them, and they work amazing 😀 This make 32 tabs.

What you need
2 cups Baking soda (cuts grease, great all-purpose cleaner)
2 cups Borax (natural cleaner and disinfectant)
1/2 cup Epsom salt (reduces the effects of hard water)
1/2 cup vinegar (added cleaning power, liquid to help bind the ingredients)
15-20 drops of real lemon or lemon essential oil (really cuts the scum and cleans well)
2 ice cub trays

Mix all the ingredients together with a spoon. (The addition of the vinegar will cause a little fizzing, but not much.)
Once all the ingredients are well combined you will notice it actually will start clumping all by itself.
Transfer the mixture into two ice cube trays and press down until each ice cube compartment is hard packed with detergent. If you packed them all down really well, you should use all of the mixture in those two trays. Now they need to dry, place them in dry, sunny spot and let them sit for 24 hours. Once they are dry, flip them over they pop out really easy and put them into a air tight container.

How to use

Add 1 tablet to your dishwasher detergent compartment.
and instead of using Jet dry fill the compartment with Vinegar works amazing especially if you have hard water

Home Made Dryer Sheet Alternative: Never Buy Dryer Sheets Again!!!

Another Money Saving SUPER simple tip great and saves you A LOT of $$$$!! Another great household trick worth trying!

You’ll need…..

A container with an airtight lid (I use a 2QT food storage bowl w/screw on lid)
4-6 sponges (I use small, thin, cheap ones)
2 cups fabric softener (any brand/’flavor’)
4-5 cups water

How to do it

Gently stir fabric softener and water together in container ..add sponges and put on lid to leave soak.
To Use: squeeze out 1 sponge and put it in the dryer with your load of wet clothes ..when clothes are dry, put the sponge back into the container of mix.

Results: EXACTLY the same as using the expensive dryer sheets that get thrown away!!!!!

Refill container as needed ..but that won’t be very often at all …MAYBE twice a year or less!!!

NOTE: If you use a smaller container ….just make as much mix as needed to fill it …it’s basically 1 cup softener to 2 cups water (a little extra water doesn’t hurt)
My total cost: $5 ………sponges $3 (2/$1) ..container $1 ..fabric softener $1 (ALL purchased at Dollar Tree)
